Hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy is viewing the inside of the uterus using a small telescope attached to a video camera. The image of the inside of the uterus is viewed on a TV monitor. The uterus is distended using CO2 gas or a fluid. Instruments may be attached to the telescope that allow the surgeon to perform certain procedures.
